Overview
During this private full-day tour from Cancun & Riviera Maya, you will visit the UNESCO-listed pyramids of Chichen Itza, swim in a gorgeous Cenote Ik Kil, savor some of the most typical Yucatecan dishes, and stroll quite colonial streets of Valladolid.
In the morning, meet your guide at your accommodation in Riviera Maya and head to Chichen Itza – the most famous and best restored of the Maya sites in Yucatán. Once there, have a comprehensive walking tour with your guide seeing all the main attractions and getting an engaging insight into one of the greatest cities of pre-Columbian civilization.
Afterward, go for a swim in a nearby Cenote Ik Kil. Measuring 40 meters deep and 60 meters in diameter, it’s arguably one of the most beautiful cenotes in Mexico. The waters of Ik Kil were considered sacred by the Mayans who performed here rituals to their rain god. The evidence of this fact is bones and jewelry that were found in its deep waters by archaeologists and speleologists.
After a refreshing swim in the cenote and a buffet-style brunch of local specialties, continue to our next stop -Valladolid. Known in the past as the “Sultana of the East”, this colonial city is famous for its quiet streets and colorful pastel walls. There, together with your guide you will visit a 16the-century Convent of San Bernardino of Siena, have a walking of Valladolid’s historic center, and wander through its colorful market.
After a day full of experiences & adventures, return to our vehicle & relax on the way back to your accommodation.
DEPARTURE LOCATION & TIME: To avoid crowds, the default departure times for this tour are 5:30 am, 6:00 am & 6:30 am but we can also adjust them per your request. Our guide will pick you up from your accommodation at the requested time & might need to contact you by phone.
Therefore, please kindly provide a valid phone number during your booking. Complimentary pickup & drop-off from Riviera Maya (Cancun-Tulum zone) is included: please indicate time & location for a pick-up during your booking (e.g. in the “Special Requirements” field).
TOUR DURATION & CUSTOMIZATION: The standard duration of the tour counts from the moment of pickup till drop-off. At the same time, the tour is customizable which means we can adjust the time you spend in each destination.
Also, if you want to visit an extra location (attraction/restaurant/market, etc.), you can do it on a complimentary basis if this visit (1) fits the default duration of the tour & (2) doesn’t involve a major change of the route.
Other changes such as extending the duration of the tour, changing the route & adding extra participants, should be communicated to the Company at least 48 hours before the tour and might involve an extra fee.

Cancellation Policy
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
